This entire site is 100% compatible with HTML 4.0, although the only HTML 4.0 features used are those needed to improve accessibility. Saying it another way, it is also compatible with HTML 3.2 except for the HTML 4.0 elements required to earn the Bobby approval. Although these additional elements are ignored by browsers not capable of rendering HTML 4.0, the page appearance is generally not affected when rendered by most such browsers.
